I didn't want to post another article about how faith led to the murder of a bunch more people so soon after posting Islamic Extremism and Paris: Faith Isn't A Fucking Virtue, but here I am.

From the Planned Parenthood Shooter's perspective, his action was rational. This isn't a question of mental illness or insanity.

He was taught to believe, by faith, that:

If you haven't taken the time to listen to the audio (or read the transcript) on my previous post, Islamic Extremism and Paris: Faith Isn't A Fucking Virtue, please take a few minutes to do that now. It's very important and informs the rest of this post.

This will likely be the most incindiary thing I post on my blog, probably ever. At least, I hope that no situation arises in the future which necessitates doing so. I will be following this up with another blog post in the next few days to talk more about the implications of our current situation, but I leave you with this today. It is the opening of the most recent episode of my favorite podcast, The Scathing Atheist.

I've been blocked by the Old Dixie Pride Facebook page.

I'm sure you can guess how much that hurts me.

The Old Dixie Pride page posts all sorts of stupid images promoting Confederate Flags. My friend, Ryan, and I have been having a great time educating this group of ignorant people about the history they claim to be so proud of.

I'm watching this presentation about what's new in Android M (the next release of Android) and I encounter a statement at (minute 17:00) that so perfectly encapsulates what is wrong with Android. They are describing some of the new UI features they have included and they get to "the FAB". It stands for Floating Action Button and it is part of Google's standard UI for things.

Student Loan debt IS a problem because university costs have inflated way too much, but please do not spread this image. I have no problem accepting all of the numbers on the paper could be true, but "paid faithfully" is total bullshit.

I often run into folks who have questions or misunderstandings about Evolution, so I've decided to write a series of articles to address these recurring ideas. Hopefully, this will be helpful! Today's commonly asked question: "I accept that animals can adapt and change, but how can they cross the species boundary? Dogs only give birth to dogs. Wolves only give birth to wolves. How does a fish become a lizard become a dog and eventually become a human?"

A buddy of mine recently posted this on Facebook:

"For anyone thinking of voting for Hillary if she is the nominee. What would be the reasoning behind your vote?"

I am open to other candidates, but unless someone I like better comes along, I will likely vote for Clinton.

My reasoning follows this general pattern for any election choice, this one included:

1) Are they smart?

2) Do I agree with their policies?
